Memorize Quran in one year is a big dream for many muslims as Muslim nation is the nation of goodness, and Muslims are racing to the Paradise which its width as the width of the skies and the earths,
and it was prepared to the devout men, and there is nothing better than memorizing Quran to get more closer to Allah -the Almighty- with it .
The virtue of memorizing the Holy Quran:
Everyone is competing in memorizing the Book of Allah to be an intercessor for them in the day of resurrection and to be their guidance and mercy in the world too, as Prophet Muhammad –peace and blessings be upon him- said:
(There is not people gathering in one of the houses of God, reciting the Book of God and studying it among themselves, unless peace reveals to them, and mercy covers them, and angels surround them, and God mentions them to those who He has).
Memorizing Quran is an important mission, that needs great effort and long time, strong memorization, and fast completion of Quran.
Also, Memorizer should combine memorization and revision, in parallel. The duration of a year is the most suitable period to finish memorization of the whole Quran.
How to memorize Quran in one year ?
1-Memorization should be at the hands of sheikh to rectify the recitation.
2-the most suitable times of the day to memorize Quran, is after the dawn, and after the afternoon or after the Maghrib.
3-Every day, the memorizer of Quran should memorize only one page of the Holy Quran, if he tries to memorize more, then the already memorized part is going to be weakened.
4-Memorization should be started from Surat Al-Nas to Surat A-Paqara because it is much more easier.
5-on the contrary, revision after memorization, is better to be started from Surat Al-Paqara to Surat Al-Nas.
6-For better and more fixed memorization, it should be from one edition of Quran:
1-to get used to the places of the verses in the pages
2-to enable the visual memory to memorize the places of the verses at the beginning and the end of the pages.
The memorizer of the Quran or “Hafiz of Quran” should know that he would be afflicted by forgetting what he had memorized, and
that shouldn’t stop him from continuing memorization, because it is just a difficult period and the shaytan is trying to stop his memorization.
What to do after memorization ” problem of forgetting” ?
After completion of memorizing and reviewing the Holy Quran, the problem of forgetting what had been memorized would arise .
Hence, the importance of the daily part, which means to review a part of Quran every day until the last day of life,
as Prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him- was doing, he was reciting a part of Quran every day, and he was finishing the recitation of the whole Quran every seven days.
Prophet Muhammad -peace and blessings be upon him- said: (Do pledge to the Quran, for, I swear with the One who has the soul of Muhammad in His hand, it is more slipping away than a camel strapped in its rope)
